Ms. Mora testified to checking with Alain Kartuzinski on a regular basis regarding Lisa’s condition (page 31, lines 22-25 and page 32, lines 1-25, deposition transcript).
On august 21, 1997, Gabriella Sanchez testified at deposition as the result of a State Attorney’s subpoena.

Ms. Sanchez testified that Alain Kartuzinski was the Senior Case Supervisor (page 12, lines 1-9, deposition transcript).
Ms. Sanchez testified that Alain Kartuzinski wanted to know what was happening with Lisa and was getting daily reports (page 18, lines 1-25, deposition transcript).
Ms. Sanchez was asked “Did you have the authority to stop the watch, say Lisa’s going to a hospital, going to a doctor? Did you have that authority?” She replied “That.., not particularly, it
was Alain” (page 57,
lines 1-6, deposition transcript).
On October 14, 1997, Lynn Farny testified at deposition as the result of a State Attorney’s
Mr. Farny testified that “It appears to me that Janis was responsible for her physical care and
Alain was responsible for her spiritual care, but that Alain was ultimately the one calling the shots” (page 79, lines 2-5, deposition transcript).
