My message for you is to just tell your client to keep spending their money on you, and my wife and kids will worry about how we spend our money. The church of $cientology has a very long and continuing criminal history and management, who uses harassment and intimidation to fight its critics as well as its own members. Most times the $cienos despicable tactics have prevailed and critics have been bought off, silenced, gagged, put in financial ruin, run out of the country, buried or all of the above. Like the St. Petersburg Times said in an editorial following on the heels of the NYT IRS-co$ expose of March 9th, “Can anyone stand up to the Church of Scientology?” There are a group of critics who have gathered here on ARS and taken principled stands against $cientology and its tactics. All of these critics are humans like the rest of us with flaws and strengths, some very likeable and others not so easy to warm up to. But, that initially very small group has helped shine the light on the true nature of the church of $cientology and drawn a much larger and seemingly ever growing group of people together as observers and reporters of $cientology tactics. Fortunately, the internet has facilitated the exponential growth in the quantity and quality of information available about $cientology; and, most of that information has the smell of a dead animal carcass. Those critics who have been forced to fight the $cienos in the judicial system have needed and will continue to need financial help-not just for lawyers but also for life’s necessities. I, for one, am proud to have helped some of these people who have felt the full force of $cientology’s wrath. If my actions, done in the lawful exercise of my constitutional rights, make me an enemy of $cientology, I can honestly say I am proud to stand amongst such a group-and will continue to do so Elliott.
