On Wednesday, January 21, 1998, at 1330 hours, a meeting was held at the State Attorney’s Office on 49th Street reference the Lisa McPherson case. Present were myself (Det. Sgt. Wayne Andrews), FDLE Agent Lee Strope, Det. Jorge Carrasquillo, Chief Sid Klein, Deputy Chief Paul Maser, FDLE Tampa Director James Sewell, and FDLE Agent Cindy Sanz of the Clearwater Office. Present from the State Attorney’s Office were Chief Investigator Robert Somers, Assistant State Attorney Mark McGarry, Executive Assistant State Attorney Doug Crowe, and State Attorney Bernie McCabe. The purpose of the meeting was to brief the prosecutors on the entire Lisa McPherson case. After the meeting, it was decided by investigators and attorneys that further information needed to be examined. The following were requests by either State Attorney Bernie McCabe or Assistant State Attorney Doug Crowe.

1.
Find out where the Magnesium Chloride that was administered to Lisa by
injection came from.
2.
Look back over the caretaker notes and depositions of the caretakers regarding
what kind of food and fluids Lisa received during her stay there.
3.
Re-examine testimony from witnesses regarding Lisa being held against her
will, as well as any testimony regarding Janis Johnson attending to Lisa during the last five days of her life.
4.
Background on Dr. Janis Johnson from medical school and her practice in
Phoenix, Arizona.
